If you have an issue with your game flashing red then you probably put the mod in the wrong folder. Because I remember, less than fondly, just how many people didn’t bother back in the day and got mad when they couldn’t uninstall the mod easily 😑 I’ve included another file called “maxis lighting.txt” this is an added backup of the maxis lighting, in case you didn’t make one. Rename the “Spooky Lighting.txt” to just say “lighting.txt”. Inside the above folder there is a file called “lighting.txt”, remove it from the folder and back it up somewhere safe.
You need to navigate to the installation folder for the Base game which should be something like:Ĭ/program files/ea games/the sims2/ts data/res/lightsĬ/program files/origin games/the sims 2 ultimate collection/double deluxe/base/ts data/res/lights if you have the ultimate collection. This goes into your program files directory and not your downloads folder! This is a very bare bones lighting mod, in so far as the maxis lighting has been left mostly untouched and the only big change is the addition of a dawn and dusk period that take place from 6-7am and 6-7pm respectively.
Because sendspace sucks and it’s not 2008 anymore.
